Welcome Tigers! I am Christie Irwin and my role at East Montgomery is Assistant Principal. My career in education started in this district in 2003. During my years in education, I have had the pleasure of teaching upper grades for many years. After teaching, I pursued coaching opportunities in Texas and Tennessee. I spent some time as an Academic Coach working with teachers which then led me to more leadership roles. I began my leadership role at Woodlawn Elementary as Assistant Principal for almost 8 years. I then began a Principal Role at Byrns Darden Elementary for a few years. I am happy to return back to the Assistant Principal role at East Montgomery. I reside in this community and was very eager to join this staff. I look forward to getting to know all the staff and students, as well as, assist the amazing administration team at EMES.
